A Safe House for Girls Removed from the Sex Trade

Who We Are

Salvando Corazones translated into English means "Saving Hearts" which is what we do on a daily basis.  We have girls brought to us that have no hope left and it is our job to give them that hope back!

Saving Hearts

MISSION:  To provide a safe and loving home to children being trafficked in the sex trade while meeting their psychological and educational needs.

VISION:  To see every child that goes through our program leave with a sense of dignity and empowerment, knowing they are loved, valued and free to choose the trajectory of their future.

CORE VALUES:  Love, Respect, Authenticity, Trust and Compassion

Salvando Corazones is a home and healing center for young survivors of human trafficking. We provide care, counseling, education, and special activities to support these girls in reintegrating into society as capable young women.

Through such activities as art therapy, gardening, equine therapy, and field trips, we foster the process of healing in a holistic way. The girls receive academic education specialized to the individual’s needs, and have full-time access to and regular meetings with a psychologist.

When they come through our doors, they are empty and withdrawn,” says Maria Fejervary, Salvando’s founder and director. “We get to watch them learn how to smile. We see them playing together, creating art, and dreaming of their futures—all things they’ve never experienced before. It is as much a gift to us as it is to them.”

We invite you to partner with us in this journey of healing, trust, and hope. By supporting us, you’re not just “making a difference,” you’re participating in saving someone’s life. There are many different ways to become involved. “It’s a great opportunity to use your strengths to change the world,” Maria says. “And to see the results of your effort is a true miracle.”
